My submission to Sketcy Miami [[link]
I figured since I was moving a week after Sketchy Party2 it would be great to be part of an event related to my hometown. Basically people, who are residents of Miami submit photos of themselves to be drawn by local artist.

The first thing that struck me about this drawing is the vivid color and lighting. I really like the way you've executing the light coming in from the left side, how it highlights her face and hair. There's very nice depth to her features and I especially like the highlighting on her lips.

However, looking at the original photo, there's something lost in the likeness. I think it's mainly in the way you drew her mouth and chin. The shape of her nose if off as well.

I do think that you succeeded in conveying the vibrant personality of a person who would rock purple hair, but because you're rendered this so detailed in other areas, like the shirt and skin, it's hard to ignore that the likeness isn't spot on.
